This project included a greenhouse addition adjoining the existing house which expanded the space available for the design of a new kitchen and dining area. The addition was built onto a rock ledge, and several large steel beams were structurally designed to support the existing second floor and provide a column free, unobstructed space for the kitchen. An octagonal island divides the space, providing a prep sink and counter, with a raised portion of the granite counter accommodating stool height seating.
